Battery Life is a stop motion short film that tells a story of determination, self-sacrifice, and deceit. Set in a dystopian desert landscape, a robot family, through the test of tragedy, discovers a dark secret hidden behind the doctrine of a preacher.
This was one of those do-or-die projects for myself and the team. Battery Life was made over the course of 3 1/2 years from 2012 - 2016. Released on February 16th, 2016, Battery Life went on to be featured on VICE and get a coveted Vimeo Staff Pick before being featured on DUST, a sci-fi YouTube channel. The film was played at multiple festivals and continues to surprise me, having had over 160,000 plays online between the two platforms.
